Abstract

Now Currently, there is an increasing application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) technologies for a better communication of patients with healthcare providers. The healthcare-related documents and data are being progressively digitalized in order to pave the way of novel forms of communications that are no more paper-based but more and more in an electronic and digital form. This has raised the issue of the correct management of such a vast amount of data and its efficient sharing, and cloud computing is arising as a promising solution to this issue. Security is a critical issue for eHealth organizations, since the data stored and exchanged may contain very sensitive information, and the use of cloud computing brings forward a novel series of security vulnerabilities that are demanding to be properly addressed. This paper intends to highlights such vulnerability and to determine the most promising solutions to them that will be the subject of intensive research in the upcoming years.
